Meeting Minutes

 September 11, 2023

In attendance were Loring Catlin, Brian Barden, Hank Campbell and Kiki Sangermano.

1.Discussion regarding 4 trees as discussed in July. We were waiting for quotes for removal. Hank has quotes from Wilcox and McClure. McClure is substantially less than Wilcox. Trustees asked Hank how McClure did removing and cleaning up maple from the tornado.  He said work was well done. Kiki will ask for a meeting with selectmen regarding the trees. Hank's positive comments regarding McClure should be passed onto selectmen.

Hank also talked to Jon Troutwein. He doesn’t directly do tree removal but will ask Robblee for a quote.  Mr. Troutwein also told Hank there was another pine very near the large pine that needs to come down although it doesn’t have obvious damage. This tree should be pointed out to whoever does the job for review while they are already there.  We don’t have the quote from Robblee.

2. Tractor repairs for broken axle and transmission was $1,700. Hank and Mike also replaced a deck motor for $108.  Loring moved to approve expenses for repairs made by the Superintendent. Seconded by Kiki. Vote was unanimous in favor.

3. Discussion regarding the upcoming budget meeting with selectmen. Brian moved to approve the budget for the same amount as 2022 which included $2,000 for contract Services. Loring seconded. Vote was unanimous in favor.

4. Hank has two old monuments that need straightening. One is more serious than the other. Hank will get a quote from John Kaufhold and ask him how much more for the second one while he is there.
